Hey there, friends!
I’m here to spill the details of what’s been happening in my world and share my big goals for 2024. So grab your favorite drink, get comfy, and let’s dive into what’s been going on and what’s coming up next.
First things first, let’s talk about 2023. This year has been a whirlwind of change for me. From moving to dealing with the ups and downs of being a freelancer and entrepreneur, it’s been a bit of a rollercoaster ride. I’ll be honest, there were times when I felt like I wasn’t giving my all to my channels and platforms, and I know some of you might have felt the same way about certain things in your lives. But hey, let’s cut ourselves some slack. Life can be a lot, and it’s okay to recognize that and give ourselves a break every now and then.
One of the big milestones this year was celebrating my 40th birthday. It got me thinking about where I am in my life and what the next half could look like. And let me tell you, it’s been a journey of reflection and realizing that retirement might not be as far off as I once joked about in my twenties. The challenges of being an entrepreneur in these ever-changing times have definitely made me reevaluate things.
Now, let’s talk business. In 2023, I had 2-3 income streams that kept things ticking along. My blog income took a hit, vintage jewelry sales weren’t quite what they used to be, but my freelance writing was the real MVP, bringing in the bread and butter. It’s been a wild ride, but you know what? I managed to bring in $38,957.56 from my freelance writing gigs. Not too shabby, right?
But now let’s get into the good stuff – my goals for 2024. I’ve got some big plans, so brace yourself! First up, let’s talk about The Beige House. I’m aiming for a major milestone here – hitting 100,000 subscribers by the end of 2024. It’s a lofty goal, but hey, I’m all about shooting for the stars. Plus, I’m looking to score some brand collaborations on there too. Gotta keep those creative juices flowing!
And speaking of creativity, I’m revamping my video workflow and aiming to create a new setup for shooting content. It’s all about finding that sweet spot between functionality and feeling totally comfortable in my space. Oh, and here’s a fun tidbit – I’ve split my one channel into three separate channels. I know, I know, more work for me, but hey, I’m all about embracing those challenges and seeing where they take me.
Now, let’s turn the spotlight to my main channel and platform. I’m shifting gears a bit, moving from targeting freelancers to focusing on folks running multiple businesses who need help streamlining their processes. It’s a bold move, and I’m setting my sights on hitting 30,000 subscribers by the end of 2024 while also automating a ton of my administrative work. It’s all about finding that balance and efficiency, am I right?
But wait, there’s more! This year, I’m also looking to revamp my member’s library and inject some new life into it. It’s been a bit neglected, and it’s high time to give it the love and attention it deserves. Plus, I’ve got my eye on hiring a video editor and a social media manager to amp up my online presence. It’s all about building that dream team and taking things to the next level.
Now, let’s get a bit personal. I’m all about those non-financial goals too. I’m tackling my finances head-on, aiming to build up my savings and start investing again. I want to be more intentional about taking care of myself, both mentally and physically. It’s all about finding that balance and feeling good inside and out.
So, that’s what I’ve been up to and what’s on the horizon for 2024. It’s a mix of big dreams, practical goals, and lots of motivation to chase after them. I’ll keep you all updated on how everything unfolds, and I hope you’ll join me on this journey.
What about you? Any big plans for the upcoming year? I’d love to hear about your goals and aspirations. Share them in the comments below, and let’s support each other as we navigate through the twists and turns of life and business.
Until next time, stay awesome and keep reaching for those stars!
Cheers,
Megan
