Why You Should Have An Abundance Mindset

Isn’t it good to have a stress free and positive outlook in life? Well, of course! I mean why would you bother yourself with something that can be resolved or turned into something good? In a recent post, we talked about ‘How To Have An Abundance Mindset’, a positive (and healthy) mindset about turning failures or setbacks into new opportunities and never-ending chances.

Abundance Mindset

Possessing and practicing an abundance mindset takes out a lot of unnecessary stress and negativity in our lives. However, we’re just humans and especially, if you’re an entrepreneur, chances are there are days when we’re just so stressed out that it affects our work and relationships.

So, Why Have An Abundance Mindset?

Employees suffering from high stress levels have lower engagement, are less productive and have higher absenteeism levels than those not working under excessive pressure, according to research from professional services firm Towers Watson.
If that’s not enough to convince you to shift your thinking, here are a few more reasons why you should strive for an abundance mindset:

Better Focus
Having an abundance mindset forces you to keep your ‘eyes on the prize’, since you know that there is something waiting for you – an opportunity or a chance. No matter how hard you try or whatever obstacles you face, you push through and set your mind on your goal.

When you are grateful, fear disappears and abundance appears.

Tony Robbins

Practicality
In contrast to a scarcity mindset where one’s gain is another man’s loss, an abundance mindset keeps us being practical. Why? Because you won’t have the feeling to compete or to be jealous of what people have. Instead, you have a better perspective of what you really need versus what you want.

“Abundance is about being rich, with or without money.”

-Suze Orman

Reaching Your Goal
If you have a better focus on your goal, it increases your chance to reach your goal. Simply because you know it’s possible and if ever you don’t achieve it. There are far more better opportunities for you and in some way or another you’ll gonna achieve that goal.

“Part of achieving life abundance is to be consistently moving toward your goals.”

Gratitude
Roman Philosopher Cicero said “Gratitude is not only the greatest of virtues, but the parent of all others.” Having gratitude towards people, life and other things brings out the best in us. It’s like a happy pill – a mood booster, not only to to you but the people you’re expressing your gratitude to, thus, creating a happy and positive vibe.

Confidence Booster
Sometimes it’ so easy to lose confidence but, if you have an abundance mindset, it won’t be an issue. Having this belief, you’ll know that you are enough, hell, you are more than enough and that you don’t have to live up to other people’s standard because you know your personal worth.

“True abundance isn’t based on our net worth, it’s based on our self-worth.”

Gabrielle Bernstein

More More and More
Ever heard of “there are many fish in the sea”? Well, an abundance mindset is just like that. Not scoring that job you’ve been wanting is okay or closing a deal; when you focus on abundance instead of scarcity, you’ll see there’s always another opportunity out there. Having an abundance mindset teaches us to look for gains elsewhere, and to bounce back from being rejected.

“When you focus on being a blessing, God makes sure that you are always blessed in abundance.”

– Joel Osteen

If we just try to see things with an abundance mindset, we’ll notice that there infinite reasons to change your thinking and allow more opportunities to come in.
